Wii U is the home game console launched by Nintendo following the Wii. It is the successor to the Wii and competes with the Xbox One and PS4. Does the Wii U have a Blu-ray player software and Blu-ray drive? No, it hasn’t. It means that we can't play Blu-ray movies directly on Wii U. Although Wii U does not support the direct playback of Blu-ray but we can play Blu-ray on Wii U following the method below. We can play Blu-ray on Wii U by making a digital copy of your Blu-ray movie to Wii U compatible media formats, such as AVI and MOV.
Step 1: Download and install f2fsoft Blu-ray Ripper on Windows or Mac.Step 2: First, open the Blu-ray ripper and enter the main interface, click Add Blu-ray/DVD button, load Blu-ray movies to pc by putting Blu-ray disc to drive.
Step 3: Click the button next to Add Blu-ray/DVD and you will see a drop-down list and click the Edit button. You can see "Trim, Crop, Watermark, Effect, 3D and Remove Noise". You can choose them to adjust your video.
Step 4: Click the button in the middle, you can select the output format in the drop list. Choose Change option and click Device > Others > Wii AVI Video format.
Step 5: You can see the Convert button on the top of the interface. Click it to start the ripping process and wait for completion.
Step 6: After finishing the conversion, you need to insert an SD card to your computer, copy the converted video onto your SD card. And then stick the SD card in the Wii U console; you can enjoy your Blu-ray movies on Wii U.
