The MP4 is a digital multimedia container format most commonly used to store video and audio. The .mp4, .m4a, .m4p, .m4b, .m4r are the filenames of it. But, the only official filename extension for MPEG-4 Part 14 files is .mp4.

The audio in an M4b file is encoded with the AAC compression format which is protected with Apple's FairPlay DRM copy protection system. In other words, we can only play M4B files on the computers and iOS devices that have been authorized via iTunes.

However, for non-Apple users, it will be a difficult thing to enjoy the M4B audio on their devices. Such an interesting thing, we must share it with others, right?
