Marvel Comics is the comic book giant of the United States, which was founded in 1939 and officially named Marvel in 1961.
It owns Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Ant-Man and more than 8,000 manga characters and the team of superheroes such as the Avengers, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
In December 2009, Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment Inc. for $4.24 billion and acquired ownership of most of the comic characters.
In September 2010, Marvel announced its official Chinese name as "Marvel."
Detective Comics is the comic book giant of the United States too, which was founded in 1934.
In June 1938, the company created the world's first superhero, Superman, in the inaugural issue of Action Manga, and rewritten the history of American comics.
In May 1939, the company created the world's first superhero without superpowers, Batman, in the 27th issue of Detective Manga.
In 1967, the company officially named DC Comics and it is still in use today.
DC was acquired by Time Warner Group in 1969 and is currently a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Entertainment.
It owns Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Neptune, Green Arrow, Suicide Squad and more Superhero Legion.
