Why can't my mobile phone play the same-named MP4 files? The reason is simple.
The MP4, AVI, MKV, etc. are the container formats. Container format just uses to package the video codec and audio codec. Such as, the AVI container can store xvid or divx encoded video and mp3 encoded audio. The RMVB file can store RV40 encoded video and cook encoded audio. The MP4 file usually stores H.264/H.265 encoded video and AAC encoded audio. The MKV file may contain the previous codecs.
So, the same-named MP4 files may contain different video/audio codecs. That’s the reason why Gale can’t play the Avengers: Infinity War in MP4 format on the mobile phone.
The best way to solve the problem is to convert H.265 to MP4 (H.264), because, the videos in H.264 codec can be played on many mobile devices.
