“I have some HD MKV movie in H.265 codec. I want to play them on my mobile phone. But, my MP4 movies can be played on the mobile phone without trouble. So, I want to convert these videos to MP4 format. Do you think this is a good idea? How to achieve this goal?”
“Is there anyone who can help me? I’ve downloaded Avengers: Infinity War in MP4 format on the computer. I transferred it to my android mobile phone. What a pity! I failed to play this movie on my mobile phone. Why can I play other MP4 movies successfully on my mobile phone, but this movie is not allowed?”
Why can't my mobile phone play the same-named MP4 files? The reason is simple.
The MP4, AVI, MKV, etc. are the container formats. Container format just uses to package the video codec and audio codec. Such as, the AVI container can store xvid or divx encoded video and mp3 encoded audio. The RMVB file can store RV40 encoded video and cook encoded audio. The MP4 file usually stores H.264/H.265 encoded video and AAC encoded audio. The MKV file may contain the previous codecs.
So, the same-named MP4 files may contain different video/audio codecs. That’s the reason why Gale can’t play the Avengers: Infinity War in MP4 format on the mobile phone.
The best way to solve the problem is to convert H.265 to MP4 (H.264), because, the videos in H.264 codec can be played on many mobile devices.
H.264, also known as MPEG-4 Part 10, has become one of the most popular formats for high-precision video recording, compression and distribution by 2014. The purpose of the H.264/AVC project is to create a better video compression standard that still provides good video quality at lower bit rates.
HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding), also known as H.265 or MPEG-H Part 2 revolves around the existing video coding standard H.264, retaining some of the original technologies and improving some related technologies. It is widely used in ultra HD video compression, up to 8K UHD.
In order to convert HEVC to MP4, we need a video converter tool which can change the H.265 codec to H.264 codec. f2fsoft MP3 to M4R Converter is the tool which I want to share with you.
